Haj's Deal or No Deal Game Report 25/07/10 - Desert Island Deal

Haj has box 15. Haj explained that he didn't do very well at school, and explains that he now runs his own complimentary therapy academy. We get to see a pic of Haj's nieces and he explains one of his young relatives has a disease which means he won't be able to walk in a few years' time.

The banker phones and says that there are TWO holidays and if Haj finds the 1p in the opening round, Haj gets a holiday AND the person who opens the 1p gets one!

Noel explains that the show's having a summer break now, and we get to see a montage of clips from Season 5.

Keeley's Deal or No Deal Game Report 23/07/10 Desert Island Deal

Noel welcomes us to the desert island and says they have been trying to get off it all week, he shows us the envelope that contains the holiday the contestants can win and says they are all hoping to win it.

Keeley has box 11 today.

Keeley is from Chelmsford, she is a housewife and we get to see a picture of her children. She has her own box of confetti so she is guaranteed some in her show

Keeley says she got married on the 11/11 and one of her children was born on the 11th, so she is really happy she has that box.

The Banker calls at the start of the round and says that if Keeley finds the 1p, 10p or £5 in the first round she will win the holiday

Dai's Deal or No Deal Game Report 22/07/10 Desert Island Deal

Noel and the contestants are still shipwrecked. Noel asks everyone to believe him that it is no paradise on the island.

Dai has box 13 today. Dai is a primary school teacher from Wales, he says he uses Deal or No Deal as part of his lessons to teach them about maths. We see a picture of Dai after he completed the Great North Run which he did to raise money for a child at his school who has leukemia.

Dai is a little worried about box 13.

The Banker calls before the round starts. He lets Dai choose a sum of money from the board and if Dai finds that sum in the opening round he will win the holiday. Dai chooses the £5

Laura's Deal or No Deal Game Report 21/07/10 - Desert Island Deal

Shipwrecked Noel is still hoping to be rescued, but is enjoying the island and keeping up the moral. He runs through Harry's game where he managed to win a holiday via the 3 bottles.

Laura has box 9 today. Laura is a travel agent. Laura talks about how she had cancer 5 years ago and fought through it, but later found she was misdiagnosed as to where the cancer was and now still has the cancer that won't go away and now she lives with it, she explains how she plans to carry on for years and years and talks about how some people manage to live relatively normal lives with cancer. We get to see some of Laura's family photos. Laura introduces her father-in-law who is in the audience today with a fish on his head

The Banker calls and says so far this week he has offered a holiday in the opening round for finding the 1p, but today he isn't! Today if Laura finds the 10p she will win a holiday

Harry's Deal or No Deal Game Report 20/07/10 - Desert Island Deal

Shipwrecked Noel welcomes us to the desert island and says they have to be fast before the tide comes in

Harry has box 2 today. Harry is from Solihull, and he tells us his family are all from Greece. He says he is very keen on poker and loves playing it with his friends. We see a family picture and then Harry shows us some of his finger puppet animals that he has collected and says they relate into his dream of some travelling around the world.

Noel points out the messages in a bottle and also the envelope that contains a holiday that Harry could win.

Carly's Deal or No Deal Game Report 19/07/10 - Desert Island Deal

There is a Robinson Crusoe feel to the studio this week as everyone has been marooned on a desert island for the final week of season 5. The studio, pilgrims, contestants and Noel are suitably dressed for the theme.

Noel dressed as a hermit welcomes us to this special week. Noel shows us 3 bottles that have been washed up on the shore and says he has to wait for a call to reveal what they are.

Carly has box 19 today. Carly is a business support administrator, and Noel reveals that Carly has a unique collection of phobias, bananas, mushrooms, and big animals! Noel offers Carly a banana! Carly has a little red box that her friend made for her, inside she has braclet that her friend made and also some photos. There is a photo of Carly with her dad who is a cabbie,

The Banker calls before the start of the round and says Ahoy to everyone, he says there is an envelope on the island that has details of a holiday that Carly can win if she finds the 1p in the opening round

Desert Island Deal - 19th July - 25th July - Deal or No Deal end of season specials

Deal or No Deal is approaching the end of it's 5th season, and to mark the occasion the Banker has marooned everyone on a desert island!

As usual with the Banker in his special themed shows he is providing a twist to the normal gameplay for his amusement. This time he has left some special messages in a bottle, but what will these hold in store for the contestant?

The desert island deals run from Monday 19th July - Sunday 25th July, then the show will take it's summer break and return to our screens for the start of the 6th season on Monday 24th August.

Mini's Deal or No Deal Game Report 18/07/10

Noel says he has some exciting news, and that next week, the show will be decorated for the summer holidays and they'll be playing Desert Island Deal with no clothes!

Mini has box 4. Mini is a charity fundraiser for people who are living in bad housing situations. She says she enjoys dancing, and particularly Asian dancing, which involves the shoulders and hands mostly. She shows a pic of her doing a dance competition in India, and says she came 2nd out of 100! Mini also shows a pic of her mum, and a pic of her boyfriend.

Dennis' Deal or No Deal Game Report 16/07/10

Noel says he's delighted to say it's back! He's talking about the timing in the game, and talks about how Ovie displayed perfect timing and got a banker spanking yesterday.

Dennis has box 17. Dennis is an odd-job man, and he explains that he has metal knees following a knee operation! Noel asks what it's like at airport security, and Dennis says his hernia belt was more of a problem! We get to see a pic of Dennis dressed up as Superman and he has a velvet curtain for a cape. He also shows a pic of the motor-caravan that he travelled around Europe in with his wife. Noel tells a story about how Dennis's motorhome was under a tree and Dennis climbed up a ladder to cut the tree back and he fell off! Dennis reveals that the ladder was actually a present for his wife, and he also bought a cordless drill for her, and he starts talking to Noel about cordless drills

The banker phones back and says he's willing to put this to the vote, and the audience and pilgrims can decide if Dennis should be given the chance to answer the question again, and almost everyone put their hands up.

Ovie's Deal or No Deal Game Report 15/07/10

Noel says when he looked at the cue card before today's show, he started thinking about waiting, and he says collectively, everyone on the wings have waited over 30 years to be on the show.

Ovie has box 9. Ovie tells a story of how he needs money, as he lost his job 2 yeas ago and hasn't found work since. He says he lost everything and ended up homeless, and things got very tough, but his family supported him through it. Ovie recognises he's not alone in that situation, and he says he's here today to help build his new life. He shows a pic of when he got married in Las Vegas, and another pic of his daughter.

Cedelle's Deal or No Deal Game Report 14/07/10

Noel says there are people who always like to make the most of the opportunity of their time on the show, and he doesn't want people being put off by Christina's bad game yesterday.

Cedelle has box 10. Cedelle is a call centre agent and Noel says she had a shock 2 years ago as she found out she has MS. She says she never expected it to happen to her as she's only 20 but she now believes that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Cedelle says she chose not to tell many people about it, but now she's being more open about it by mentioning it on the show. She introduces us to her mum, step-dad and friend, who are in the audience today.

Christina's Deal or No Deal Game Report 13/07/10

Noel says today is a special today because it is the anniversary of the birth of Julius Caesar, and he runs through some quotes of his, including "I came, I saw, I spanked".

Christina has box 2. Christina says she can judge a man by his voice, and says she finds deep voices attractive! Her wish is to hear the banker's voice. She's written a riddle for the banker, which she reads out, and she says he can have a gift if he solves it - otherwise Noel gets the gift. The banker phones and immediately solves the riddle! So Christina sends off her gift to the banker. Christina shows a pic of her pink car with her 4 grandchildren in it. Noel asks if she's ever tempted to put yellow spots on the car. We also get to see a pic of her at an Ann Summers party!

Jez's Deal or No Deal Game Report 11/07/10

Noel says he apologises for the appalling way in which the west wing introduced the show yesterday! So he lets the east wing do it today and they do it perfectly.

Jez has box 15. Jez is a landscape gardener, and he tells a story of how he hit a bus while he was on his motorbike, and woke up in hospital with various injuries. He says he ended up with an air bubble on his brain, and they had to cut away part of his skill and use some muscle from his leg to help rebuild his skull! Jez shows a pic of his wife and daughter and gets a bit emotional as he misses them so much. Jez has a good-luck note with him that his daughter wrote for him, and she drew box 5 on it.

Yvonne's Deal or No Deal Game Report 11/07/10

Noel says he's drained after the sensational, rollercoaster games which we've experienced recently, so he gets the contestants to introduce the show and they make a mess of it.

Yvonne has box 22. Yvonne explains that her real first name is Gillian, and she is a beauty salon owner. She says she was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years back but has since fully recovered. Yvonne shows a pic of her and her husband with Mickey Mouse, and she explains that she has an obsession with everything to do with Disney! She says she believes that things happen for a reason... Yvonne says she has something to say about box 22, but she'll leave saying it for now...

Hayley's Deal or No Deal Game Report 09/07/10

Noel says how much he enjoyed Darren's game yesterday, and he talks about how Darren did some great timing in his game to get a good win.

Hayley has box 18 today. Hayley is a sign language interpreter, and talks about how she got into the work totally by accident when she went to a library and borrowed a book about signing and learnt it from there. She has a couple of friends in the audience for support today. She has some swimming goggles with her and tells a story of how she had a dream about swimming one day and finding some treasure but couldn't reach it as she had no goggles, so she decided to buy some for just in case in the future.

Hayley doesn't have a system, but there is a particular box that she wants to take out early as her nan says it always has a blue in, and Hayley has a bet with her about the contents of it.

Darren's Deal or No Deal Game Report 08/07/10

Noel says he used to think that the show was a mega-money gameshow, and that people applied for the show to change their lives. But he says yesterday's game shows that the show has turned into a tourist destination, as Paul was here to have the experience rather than win money!

Darren has box 4. Darren is a police inspector, and Noel says in Darren's file, it states that he was running an unlicensed trading stall which was then closed down by the police! Darren explains that he was only 7 at the time, and was trying to raise funds for the local church. Darren shows a pic of his baby son, and another pic of him with his wife on their wedding day.

He has a couple of work colleagues in the audience today, and he shows us a heart which he has with him, and it has a hand-print of his son on it. Noel says he's worried that the banker will try mind games with Darren over the relationship he has with his son! Darren explains box 4 is his lucky number.

Paul's Deal or No Deal Game Report 07/07/10

Noel talks about timing and how it's been missing in the last few games, and he runs through Emma's and Rob's games and how their timing was appalling!

Paul has box 21. The Dad's Army theme tune plays as Paul takes the walk of wealth. Paul is a retired salesman and he sol pork pies, power tools and confectionery, amongst other things! He now works part-time in an independent menswear store, and he has 2 pairs of red and blue socks for Noel! We get to see a pic of his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren, and another pic of Paul with his wife, who is in the audience today. His wife says that Paul didn't even tell her he'd applied for the show!

Emma's Deal or No Deal Game Report 06/07/10

Noel says there are very interesting times at the moment in the Dream factory, as the wins have been going up and down like a yo-yo, and it has produced a couple of games lately where both the last 2 players have got their timings wrong and left too soon.

Emma has box 5 today. Emma comes from Ugly, and says she loves the fact she comes from Ugly, and jokes about some of the names of clubs in the village. Emma jokes about her sweaty armpits! Emma says she likes playing poker but doesn't play for money and plays for nuts, Noel says they have 'Cash'ews she can win today We get to see a family picture of Emma's.

Dave's Deal or No Deal Game Report 05/07/10

Noel welcomes us to the start of a new week, and talks about a classic game yesterday, but it wasn't because of the outcome it was because of a lesson, and the it showed how you play the Banker is important as he had an offer reduced by trying to play the Banker.

Dave has box 9 today. Dave is a police officer in the armed response unit, and tells the tale of how he consumed the whole menu at a fast food chain once in a challenge with a work-mate! We get to see a picture of Dave's son and another of his fiancee who is in the audience for support today. Dave has a couple of worry dolls to help him with luck today.

Rob's Deal or No Deal Game Report 04/07/10

Noel says everyone's revved up and ready for today's game. He says there's an atmosphere of courage at the moment, and he runs through some of the phobias the east wing has, including Carly who's frightened of bananas and Imani who's frightened of armpits because she doesn't like the 2nd part of the word!

Rob has box 7. Rob is a firefighter, and Noel says firefighters often win big on the show! He says how much he loves his job, and shows a pic of him with his colleagues. Noel gets everyone to do a round of applause for firefighters up and down the country. Rob also shows a pic of him and his colleagues at a fancy dress party, and a pic of his wife and daughter.
